In 2013 Chilliwack Community Services began delivery of the provincially funded Welcoming Communities Program. This program came to a successful conclusion in March 2014. Check out this video to see the work that was accomplished!

Efforts to build a welcoming and inclusive community in Chilliwack have continued since then under the federally funded Chilliwack Newcomer Connections. Issues important to Chilliwack’s newcomers are addressed through a variety of activities as well as implementation of a Local Settlement Strategy and action plan.

The Partnership

Chilliwack Newcomer Connections is a Local Immigration Partnership funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Cananda. While programming is delivered through Chilliwack Community Services, the partnership is a dedicated group of community members that meets monthly to work towards our program goals. We are currently actively expanding our partnership, please contact us to express interest in participating!
